When you come to Shishukunj remember that you are coming to the Mandir to learn. In order for you to achieve the best and enjoy your learning experience it is important to follow some basic rules. These are outlined below.

DO

• Come to the Mandir as clean as possible and wear appropriate clothing
• Take your shoes off in the shoe room and wash your hands before entering the main Mandir
• Use the terms “Bhai “ and “Bahen” to address everyone whether they are younger or older than you
• Respect everyone at all times
• Try to use your mother tongue
• Be honest and speak the truth
• Be polite, helpful and try your best
• Feel free to offer and receive Prashad
• Ensure that the Prashad you offer is suitable for vegetarians and is egg free

 

DON’T

• Enter any of the shrines, only the priests are allowed to do so
• Point your feet towards the Murti’s (Images/Deity) when you sit on the floor
• Move around during the Aarti Ceremony
• Use bad language, lie, or make noise
• Chew gum during the sessions or consume any food or drink inside the Mandir
• Distract or disturb others
• Give up without trying
